The Junior Conference Producer/Assistant Conference Lead coordinates and manages all aspects of two (2) small-sized events per year; while supporting the Audience Development team. This includes researching and creating new conference topics, writing agendas, recruiting speakers and delegates for events as needed.

This position will be responsible for the planning and execution of the entire life cycle for (2) Small- sized events per year, as assigned and supervised by the Head of Conference Production. A small- sized event will consist of 30 to 40 attendees and an average revenue of $150,000.

This position will also support the Audience Development efforts for bigger events, with a minimum sign up of 10 delegates per assignment or as directed by the Head of Conference Production.

Location: Remote.

Type of Employment: FT International consultant.

Salary: 1500-1750 monthly.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct and research potential attendees and speakers in a target market to develop conference agendas.
  • Identify, invite and confirm appropriate speakers and attendees for conferences.
  • Establish relationships with key professionals, industry leaders, senior executives, and media within relevant vertical markets.
  • Utilize excellent written and oral communications in English to differentiate our events from competitor conferences.
  • Be an expert in Opal's Value in order to proactively identify, engage, and cultivate new and expanded audiences.
  • Successfully promote Opal's initiatives through positive interactions with C-Level
  • Maintain and administer a pipeline of prospects in our CRM in order to achieve sales
  • Ensure that clients/prospects receive the highest level of customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1-2 years of conference production experience or related experience in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or Sales.
  • Sales experience.
  • Client relations experience.
  • Excellent networking and information gathering abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Superior Writing skills.
  • Leadership ability in an entrepreneurial setting.
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, and an innovative approach.
  • Must have a tourist Visa, as some travel will be required (5 to 10% of the position)
