The Business Development Associate is responsible for selling sponsorships and attendee passes for Opal Group events, and developing relationships with our existing and potential clients to invite and secure their attendance.

The Business Development Associate is responsible for selling sponsorships and attendee passes for Opal Group events, and developing relationships with our existing and potential clients to invite and secure their attendance.

Type of Job: FT international consultant
Salary: $1500.
This position is remote.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct prospect research and develop a plan of action for communicating the value of Opal Group Conferences to key decision-makers.
- Finding, pitching, sponsorship opportunities, as well as ensuring audience attendance.
- Discovery of new leads through LinkedIn, emails, research and tools that Opal provides.
- Logging all new leads, current interactions, and client updates in the CRM database.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in order to garner new business.
- Display professionalism and maintain constant correspondence with clients via phone and e-mail.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in sales/sponsorships.
- Preferably call center customer service experience
- Ability to meet monthly sales goals.
- Experience selling intangible services.
- Excellent communication skills, both writing and speaking.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to relate to people at all levels both inside and outside the business.
- Ability to interface with the Opal Group team, clients, vendors, prospects, and the public.
- Ability to conduct research and complete business transactions from A to Z.
